The influence of context upon memory remember was reviewed in an experiment based on Godden and Baddeley's (1975) Circumstance Dependent Recollection study. Previous research suggests that memory recall is improved when ever learning and recall occur in the same environment. The current research examined the value of framework and perceptual clues in memory remember by manipulating the learning and recall surroundings for a memory space task using a list of 30 random phrases tested upon three categories of participants: every single group learned a list of words in one environment and remembered them in either (a) the same environment, (b) outdoors or (c) the same environment with their eyes closed. The research hypothesis was that ‘more words and phrases would be recalled when the learning and call to mind environments had been the same'. The benefits showed that recall was slightly larger when there is a change in environment between learning and recall, although the difference between conditions was of not any statistical value. Therefore , this kind of study intends to look at the value of contextual cues in memory call to mind and aims to further take a look at the findings of Godden and Baddeley by asking a group of 75 adult members to memorise a group of arbitrary words in one of 3 conditions.
